Owners, Adam & Pep Atchison welcome you to their newly established Winery, Microbrewery & Cider House. Located in Pomonal, (ten minutes from Halls Gap), Pomonal Estate is nestled alongside the Grampians National Park in Victoria, Australia.
In 2002 Adam & Pep moved to Pomonal from Sydney to join the family business, Boronia Peak Holiday Village in Halls Gap. Pep continued in the Wine industry and found work at Montara Winery then went on to be Functions Manage at Seppelts Winery for just over 10 years. Boronia Peak Holiday Village sold in 2006 where Adam had already began breeding and agisting thoroughbred race horses on their current property.
In 2014, they were given the opportunity to build their dream. They went on the journey looking at over 23 wineries for sale in Victoria and NSW. During this time Adam moved his hand to beer brewing, where they showcased at the monthly local Pomonal Market. At this time Ararat Rurual City Council changed the planning scheme for Pomonal which enable Adam & Pep to build their dream here in Pomonal!
Local contract builders Sparks Construction & local tradesmen were employed to build the Cellar Door. The materials used for the bar were locally sourced. The redgum posts came from the old Seppelts, Great Western train station and the redgum bar along with the hardwood feature wall and baltic pine under the bar, all from Pomonal.
Adam & Pep pride themselves by continuing to support locals, either by produce platters and homemade cakes, displaying and selling art and by supporting musicians.
