Moyston Sheepdog Trials
Moyston Sheepdog Trials are the oldest annual sheepdog trials in Victoria, possibly Australia. The date of the trials was altered quite early to conclude on the nearest Saturday to St. Patrick’s day, March 17th and has continued on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday of this weekend.
Currently the trials are held at the Moyston Recreation Reserve oval and are attended by competitors from around Australia.
Moyston Sheep Dog Trials, feature sheep dogs and their handlers competing in three levels of competition.
Spectators have an invitation to see dogs compete in novice, ‘improvers’ and open level trials.
Pomonal Village Market
The Pomonal Village Market is a community event that provides a platform for local residents to sell excellent quality goods and fresh produce to the local community.
The market is held on the last Sunday of each month, 9am to 1pm, along with 3 extra markets throughout the year and a summer market on the 1st Sunday in January and another to coincide with the Pomonal Native Flower Show on the first full weekend in October.
Halls Gap Market
The Halls Gap market was established in 1997 and is proudly brought to you by the Halls Gap Primary School. The market is located at the Halls Gap recreational grounds (cricket oval) just off the Grampians Road and within walking distance of the Halls Gap township.
The markets are run by parent volunteers. The Halls Gap market is an outdoor market that offers a range of high quality local stalls including arts and crafts, fresh produce, plants, fine food and drinks. Food and coffee vans also offer a selection of hot food onsite, so feel free to bring a picnic rug and soak up the atmosphere of this family friendly market.

Moyston Easter Market
The Moyston Easter Market, held at the Moyston Recreation Reserve Oval, is a family-friendly event every year on Easter Saturday. Filled to the brim with wholesome activities, everyone is welcome to celebrate Easter with the rest of the community.
There are several market stalls offering beautiful arts and crafts handmade by local artists, homemade goods, pre-loved items, and much more.
